Summer is winding down, but that doesn’t mean the heat is going with it. September in Jávea and the Marina Alta still brings afternoons above 28°C, and evenings still call for a bit of moving air to sleep well. What has changed is the price of ceiling fans: shops are clearing seasonal stock, and right now you’ll find some of the best models discounted more than you’d ever see in the middle of July.
If you’ve spent the whole summer thinking “this year I’m getting a ceiling fan” but kept putting it off, now’s the time. Here’s why, and which models we recommend for each room.
Why buy now instead of waiting for next summer
- End-of-season sales are the most aggressive of the year. Distributors need to clear stock before autumn arrives, so ceiling fan discounts tend to be deeper now than during a full-blown heatwave in July.
- Installing it now means it’s ready from day one next summer. No waiting weeks for delivery or an installer slot in the middle of June, when everyone wants the same thing at once.
- A ceiling fan also works in winter. With the summer/winter function, in the cold months it helps redistribute the warm air that collects near the ceiling, so it’s not an investment that sits idle for six months.
- September and October are still real-use months on the Costa Blanca, especially in bedrooms and living rooms that get the sun.
Which fan to choose for each room
At JaveaFix we install ceiling fans every week, and these are the models we recommend most right now, depending on the type of space.
For living rooms and dining areas: WIND CALM

The most versatile model in our catalogue. DC motor at 40W, six speeds, summer/winter function, and a noise level of just 50 dB, so it won’t interrupt conversation or the TV. It comes in three sizes (Ø112, Ø132 and Ø152 cm) to suit rooms from 10 to 30 m², with several colour finishes and an optional LED light with three colour temperatures. It also carries IP44 certification, so it works on covered porches or terraces too.
For bedrooms and sloped ceilings: WIND STYLANCE

If your bedroom has a sloped or attic-style ceiling, this is the right model: it handles up to 25° of incline thanks to its adjustable dual-length rod. A DC Brushless 40W motor with an even lower noise level, 40 dB, ideal for sleeping without background noise. Available in Ø112 and Ø132 cm, with a WiFi option to control it from your phone or a wall controller if you’d rather not rely on the remote.
For a design statement in a living room or porch: WIND CALM CUSTOM RATTAN

This is the model clients ask for most when they want something with more visual presence, especially in living rooms with a natural or Mediterranean-style decor. The motor housing has a wicker finish with a warm LED light that runs independently of the fan’s main light, so you can use it as an ambient lamp without turning the motor on. FSC-certified for responsible forest management, designed for rooms of 15-25 m².
For small rooms and a tighter budget: Beach S by Inspire (Leroy Merlin)

If the space you need to cover is a small bedroom or a home office under 13 m², there’s no need to overspend. This 71 cm model, with a 26W DC motor, covers small rooms perfectly, includes a dimmable LED light with remote-adjustable colour temperature, and has the summer/winter function too. It’s compatible with ceilings sloped up to 15°, and according to the manufacturer its running cost comes to under one euro a month for around 8 hours of daily use at the lowest speed. It’s the option we recommend when the main criterion is covering the room well without overcomplicating things or overspending.
